First visit to a McManamins and it was such a feast for the eyes- like a hostel on steroids, the paintings, colours, photographs, fabrics and plants are just super fun and extra. Also an amazing story(ies) behind a historical building you have to see to truly appreciate! Cozy room with a clean, comfy bed. Excellent, friendly staff and great drinks. The best part was the multiple bars to chose from. Found this great as a solo traveller- safe, fun, unique spaces that i didnt expect to find all under one (fabulous) roof. The tiki bar's great and Spanish bar's cocktails were particularly awesome! Little tour of the gorgeous "ballroom" concert space was a nice touch. They also have a great little gift shop with a variety of taps available. Super memorable experience, will be back with friends/family for sure and will be seeking out more spots from this company.

The location was perfect for our planned activities -- a visit to the W.W.S. Botanical Conservatory, Broadway Antique Row, and the Farmers Market Gala. And I could see that it would also be perfect for concerts and/or stage performances. Gives me lots to consider. But mostly I enjoyed every one of my interactions with staff members. The front desk staff, random staff members we met in the hallway or elevator, the wait staff in the restaurant -- all were gracious, helpful, and charming.

The Elks Temple is a fascinating hotel renovated with style. The rooms and common areas are exquisitely decorated and the view from the hotel is amazing. it is a perfect location for visiting the Tacoma Museum of Glass and the Chihuly Bridge of Glass. The rooms and beds were very comfortable. When we were disappointed that our room was lacking a fridge, they immediately provided a portable one. Great service!

This is an amazing building! We will be back just to explore the building some more. Our room was small but cozy and plenty clean. The staff were all super friendly. Downtown is very walkable from here. And there are four or five bars and restaurants in the building itself, so you don't have to go far for anything. We will definitely be back.

It was eclectic and cool. It made me WANT to explore the whole hotel, which we did. I only wish we would have arrived earlier to enjoy more of what they had to offer. You're always going to have a unique experience at a McMenamins property that you won't soon forget.
